Before you return troubleshooting information.

We’re sorry that you are experiencing problems with your Carlsbro product. Before returning your product to us however, please read the following check list to be certain it should be returned.

NOTE : Reading this guide is part of the terms and conditions for returning items to Carlsbro. Anything that does not have a manufacturing fault, or does not come under the terms of the warranty will incur a handling charge that will be payable before the item can be returned. We cannot undertake out of warranty repairs.

1. Warranty. Is your warranty valid ?

• Warranty is valid for 12 months from date of first purchase from a Carlsbro dealer (90 days only for valves (tubes) or rechargeable batteries).
• Proof of purchase is required to validate warranty (If you are not the original owner, you must obtain proof of first purchase from the original owner).
• Wear & tear, abuse, transit damage and modification are not covered Read the full details of the warranty on our website.Click here for full terms and conditions.

2. Correct Use and Operation. Is the ‘problem’ caused by incorrect use ?

• Read the manual fully • Ensure the product is correctly connected with all switches and control settings appropriate for the application.
• Ensure it is being used for the intended purpose.
• Note that misuse of products or products being unsuitable for your application are not covered by warranty.

3. Isolate the problem. Is it actually the product at fault or something else ?

• Move the product to a different location.
• Try a different mains outlet.
• Check the mains outlet is working correctly using a socket tester, or by plugging in another piece of equipment.
• Check connecting cables are in good condition, correctly wired and appropriate.
• Disconnect other equipment one item at a time.
• Replace or charge any batteries.
• Try a similar product in the same situation to see if the problem is the same.

4. Check the fuse. The externally accessible fuse is a consumable part.

• Disconnect the product from the electricity supply, and replace the mains fuse with the same type and rating (the rating will be on the fuse end cap, and also printed on the amplifier). Connect to the mains and test.
• Check the fuse in the mains plug. This should be a higher rating than that fitted to the product If a replacement fuse fails immediately, return the product for checking.

5. Has the unit been modified or tampered with ?

• Do not attempt to open the unit or carry out repairs yourself.
• Do not modify the product in any way. Unauthorised modification, repairs or other tampering with the unit invalidates the warranty. If you believe that your Carlsbro product is covered by warranty, is genuinely faulty, and that the problem is a manufacturing fault please proceed to the returns page to arrange collection. Please ensure full details of the fault are included, and all requested information is given. By proceeding to the returns page you agree that you have read and understood the above, and have checked each point.
